Brad's Brother in ICU.

Brad's brother, Gary, is very sick. He has been sick for a long time, but after triple by-pass surgery, he has been really bad. He is now in ICU at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont. He has pneumonia, an unknown infection and they have him on a ventilator. He is sedated to keep him calm. Everything is getting worse. His body appears to be shutting down. Please Pray especially for Brad. He will probably have to make any decisions about treatment. That is his last brother. Brad really needs some good news. Keep him in your thoughts.

Safely in Oklahoma

Megan is in Lawton, OK. After a delay in Dallas, she finally arrived last night. Andy picked her up and the reunion went well. This morning the Army delivered their belongings. Now she has to unpack. Their townhouse is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The only bathroom is on the 3rd floor. Megan and gravity are not friends, so pray that she does not fall. We are already enjoying the empty nest. I have moved my sewing back to the guest room. It will take a while to move all the other stuff. I have lots of stuff. Today I have been making a Dallas Cowboys quillow. It is bigger than usual and is taking a long time. Next time I will charge more for the extra details.

Prayers for Megan

Tomorrow Megan will be flying to Lawton, Oklahoma to join her husband. The Army has transfered him to Ft. Sill. They have had some struggles in the past year so pray for them. In June they will celebrate 4 years of marriage. Brad and I will again have an empty nest. We will miss her, but it is time to go.

Busy Weekend

Tonight Brad is having "Men's Game Night" at our house. That means I have to clean up all of MMB Creations. Maybe I can get one more cleaning job out of Megan. Sunday she will be flying to Oklahoma to join her husband. The Army will not deliver their stuff until Monday. We decided there was no reason for us to go to Oklahoma now. We will go later when they are settled and I can help her decorate. Brad and I also decided that we should not go that far from home right now. His brother Gary is in ICU in Beaumont. He still has complications from heart surgery. I guess we got too optimistic after the first surgery. My mother is going through a rough spell. She fell on her face this week and has a terrible bruise. She has no lasting injury, but does not want to go out because she looks bad. It is amazing how weak she is from spending one day in a hospital bed. Sometimes when the men are gaming, I go with the ladies to the movie. Tonight I think I will stay in the bedroom and sew. I have several orders for quillows. One of the hairdressers at Emeritus wants one that she can show around and take orders. Please continue to pray for Brad. He needs to find some work and to improve his health. Pray that Megan and Andy will be able to make their marriage work. We will miss her but also look forward to the empty nest.
