Needless to say, we were on the road within the hour. It took us 8 hours and we were at the Reynolds Army Community Hospital when daughter returned to the room. Our grand daughter was perfect. We know this because that's what the doctor said. She was 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 19 in long, born on 11-4-11.
We were all just a little excited.
Son-in-law really was excited. He just doesn't like to smile for photos.
Paw Paw had to leave Sunday but I stayed to help out. Daughter did not get to go home until Tuesday. I had a great time playing with grand daughter and taking care of the new family.
I brought a little zipper bow that she wore home from the hospital.
Then I moved it to this little hat.
I also had to make some things of the baby. I did not have my tools or my sewing machine. I did bring some yarn and embroidery thread. I bought some onsies and started to work.
She had the purple skirt. I just added the "Diva".
I crocheted this little sweater.
At Salvation Army we bought a sweater that I used for the leg warmers and the bow.
We bought some pants that I used for the ruffle on this outfit and to make another skirt. I did did not get a picture of that.
Paw Paw came and picked me up Thursday. We left Friday and stopped in Dallas to visit friends. We got home about 2 am Saturday. I am very tired and I really enjoyed my bed.
I will tell more about the trip later.
